Product Information
AdBlue® is a harmless synthetic 32.5% solution of high purity and constant quality grade urea, guaranteed by ISO 22241 and DIN V 70070. It is used as exhaust agent of an SCR technology in Euro 4, Euro 5 and Euro 6 diesel engines.
AdBlue® is not a diesel additive! AdBlue® is s kept in a separate tank and dispensed independently. Prior to the catalytic converter, AdBlue® is chemically converted to ammonia, which (in the next step) in the SCR catalytic converter, converts harmful nitrogen oxides (NOx) into nitrogen (N2) and water (H2O) which are natural air components and which we normally breathe. AdBlue® consumption is about 5% of diesel consumption per 100 km. AdBlue® is a non-toxic and eco-friendly product classified in the lowest aquatic hazard class (Class 1 in Germany).
The consistent quality of AdBlue® can only be ensured if the product is handled in accordance with the instructions given in ISO 22241-1 through 4. The basic prerequisite for providing top quality is a system of effective quality management (QM – quality management) in accordance with ISO 9001 standard.
